Terms of Service
The fine print. Not the most exciting read, but it matters.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Game LAN'D ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Community Rules. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users — members, moderators, and administrators alike.
2. Eligibility
Game LAN'D is an 18+ platform. By registering, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. We reserve the right to suspend any account found to be operated by a minor. Access to the Platform is prohibited where restricted by local law.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to use a strong password, not share your account with others, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. Impersonating another member, moderator, or staff member will result in an immediate ban.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post — threads, replies, signatures, and profile information. By posting, you grant Game LAN'D a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Platform. You are solely responsible for the content you publish and warrant that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) post hate speech, harassment, threats, or any content that is illegal, abusive, or discriminatory; (b) distribute malware, phishing links, or attempt to compromise the security of the Platform or its users; (c) use the Platform for spamming, unsolicited advertising, or commercial solicitation without authorization; (d) engage in cheating, hacking, or any discussion of software or methods designed to gain unfair advantages in games; (e) create alternate accounts to evade bans, manipulate votes, or harass other users.
6. Moderation & Enforcement
Game LAN'D reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms or our Community Rules, and to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion. Moderation actions are logged and may be appealed through the Site Feedback section. Permanent bans for hate speech are final and not subject to appeal.
7. Intellectual Property
All Platform code, design, branding, and original content created by Game LAN'D is our property. Game titles, logos, and trademarks referenced on the Platform (Destiny 2, Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc.) are the property of their respective owners. Game LAN'D is a fan community and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
8. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party content, privacy policies, or practices. You access external links at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Use of the Platform is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Game LAN'D and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of reputation, or damages resulting from interactions with other users.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be announced on the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon termination, your posts and threads may remain visible on the Platform but will be anonymized. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.
