Community Rules
Every fireteam needs a code. These rules keep Game LAN'D the kind of place where skilled players want to squad up — zero toxicity, maximum respect.
Violations may result in warnings, temporary mutes, or permanent bans at moderator discretion.
The Rules
Clear expectations. Fair enforcement. No surprises.
No Toxicity — Period
Harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, doxxing, and personal attacks are banned with zero tolerance. This includes racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and any other form of bigotry. Trash talk is fine when it's mutual and game-related — but the moment it crosses into abuse, you're done. We don't issue "first warnings" for hate speech. You'll be banned immediately.
No Cheating, Hacking, or Boosting
Discussions about cheats, hacks, exploits, aimbots, wallhacks, Cronus devices, or any form of cheating software are strictly prohibited — even as a joke. Paid carries and boosting-for-cash are also banned. We're here to earn our ranks legitimately. Violations may be reported to the relevant game publisher.
No Spam, Self-Promo, or Scams
Don't spam threads, DMs, or replies. No unsolicited self-promotion, referral links, or "check out my stream" drive-bys in unrelated threads. No selling accounts, items, or services. Scams — including phishing links, fake giveaways, and "free V-Bucks" nonsense — result in an instant permanent ban. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it is.
Stay On-Topic in Game Hubs
Each game hub exists for a reason. Destiny 2 discussion lives in the Destiny 2 hub, Fortnite in Fortnite, etc. Use the General hub for off-topic chat, other games, and introductions. Cross-posting the same thread across multiple hubs will get it removed. Making a new thread in the right section means faster, better replies.
No NSFW or Shock Content
No pornographic, gory, or deliberately shocking content. No NSFW avatars, signatures, or profile banners. This is a gaming community, not a shock site. Keep it clean enough that someone could browse on their lunch break without getting side-eye from their boss.
Respect Moderator Decisions
Our moderators volunteer their time to keep this place running. If a mod asks you to stop something, stop. If you disagree with a moderation action, use the Site Feedback section — don't argue in-thread, make a public spectacle, or DM the mod with abuse. We review all appeals fairly, but mod-bashing gets you nowhere.
No Impersonation or Alt Accounts
Don't pretend to be a moderator, staff member, or another community member. Don't create alternate accounts to evade bans, manipulate votes, or harass users. Ban evasion through alt accounts results in all associated accounts being permanently banned.
Protect Your Account & Privacy
Use a strong password. Don't share your account. Don't post personal information — yours or anyone else's — in public threads. This includes real names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. If someone asks for your login info, report them immediately.
How We Enforce
Fair, consistent, and transparent.
1. Warning
Most first-time minor infractions get a friendly reminder. We assume good intent.
2. Temporary Mute
Repeated issues or heated behavior earn a timeout. Cool off and come back.
3. Temporary Ban
Serious or persistent offenses result in a fixed-duration ban with a reason attached.
4. Permanent Ban
Hate speech, doxxing, scams, ban evasion, and extreme violations. No appeal for hate speech cases.
All moderation actions are logged. If you believe a decision was made in error, post in Site Feedback with the details. We review every appeal — but remember, "I was just joking" has never reversed a ban.
